Are you a woman in engineering? Would you like to talk with other women who are in engineering as well?
I started looking for a group of women in engineering with which to talk to about the challenges that I face in my career. I searched for a few months to no avail. Sure, there are groups of women who get together to talk about jobs. Just not engineering. I decided to change that. After a few emails, and some nervous waiting, our group finally formed.
Our engineering women networking group meets once a month to talk about our careers and jobs as engineers. Our group is growing in size, and we'd welcome your involvement. Meeting locations vary each time between the Northern suburbs (i.e., Schaumburg) and the South-West suburbs (i.e., Naperville). There is no cost to attend. Our current member base includes engineers in the fields of electrical, civil, general, and computer engineering, as well as computer science engineers.
